HC “Linces” Joining USL W

Hill Country Lobos SC is proud to announce the launch of Linces, a new women’s team that will compete in USL W League beginning Summer 2026. Linces will operate as part of the Hill Country Lobos organization, expanding the club’s long-standing mission of accessibility, community impact, and player-first development into the women’s game.

Founded in 1996 as Galaxia SC by David Walding, the club was built to integrate unaccompanied minors into the local community through soccer. Renamed Lobos in 2016, the organization has remained committed to creating pathways for players to advance in the sport regardless of financial means or background. The addition of Linces represents a natural and important next step in that mission.
By joining USL W, Linces will provide elite-level opportunities for women players while strengthening the club’s presence across all levels of the game. The team will focus on holistic development, teamwork, and creating meaningful opportunities both on and off the field.

David Walding, Founder and President of Hill Country Lobos, shared his excitement about the announcement:
“We are incredibly excited to bring high-level soccer to the women’s community through Linces. This team represents everything our club stands for—opportunity, inclusion, and long-term impact. USL W allows us to create a true pathway for women players while continuing to serve our community in a meaningful way.”

The club is finalizing key details ahead of the inaugural season, including the coaching staff. An official coaching announcement will be shared soon, adding to the anticipation surrounding Linces’ debut.
As Summer 2026 approaches, Hill Country Lobos and Linces look forward to welcoming players, supporters, and partners into a new chapter, one that strengthens women’s soccer and deepens the club’s commitment to the community it has served for nearly three decades.
