San Marcos, Texas – 10, 27, 25 — Hill Country Lobos is proud to announce a new partnership with San Marcos Academy, establishing the Academy’s McCoy Remme Athletic Complex as the official training site and primary home field for the club’s USL Academy and USL League Two matches moving forward.
The McCoy Remme Athletic Complex has already hosted the Lobos’ last two USL Academy home games this season, providing an exciting and energetic backdrop for the launch of competitive soccer in the region.
Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the McCoy Remme Athletic Complex features a modern artificial turf field, a 7-lane track, seating for approximately 820 fans with additional capacity, a press box, restrooms, and concessions. The venue offers an ideal setting for the club’s growing fan base and for the development of local talent.
“This partnership reflects our belief in the future of soccer in Central Texas and Hays County in particular,” said David Walding, Hill Country Lobos’ president. “San Marcos Academy has welcomed us with incredible support, and we are excited to keep competing under the lights of this great facility.”
San Marcos Academy leadership shared in the excitement about the ongoing collaboration. “We are excited to be hosting the Hill Country Lobos and serving as their home field. We look forward to supporting the team and welcoming even more families to experience our beautiful campus here at San Marcos Academy,” said Dr. Brian N. Guenther, President/CEO, San Marcos Academy.
We look forward to continuing this successful relationship and bringing more high-level soccer action to San Marcos throughout the upcoming season.
