Building Pathways, On and Off the Field

The Lobos Immigration Project was born from the same heart that started the Hill Country Lobos soccer club: a belief that everyone deserves a fair chance to belong, to grow, and to pursue opportunity.

About the Project

The Lobos Immigration Project is a community initiative founded by David Walding, President of Hill Country Lobos and longtime advocate for immigrant families in Central Texas.

David’s journey began when he became guardian to children from El Salvador and experienced firsthand how complex and broken the U.S. immigration system can be, especially for unaccompanied minors. This personal mission led him to work with organizations in Central Texas and across the U.S., where he helped youth and families navigate the legal system with dignity and care.

Seeing the need for a more comprehensive, localized approach, David established the Lobos Immigration Project in Austin to provide compassionate, affordable, and culturally grounded immigration support.

WHAT WE DO

Legal support for minors and families
